One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 19.03.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Three arrested for Robbery
Devinder R/o # 503, Block-F, Colony No.4, Chandigarh alleged that Sandeep, Raja Sharma & Deepak beaten, threatened complainant and his friend Sarvesh & also robbed Rs. 400, Aadhar Card from complainant & Rs. 500, Aadhar card from complainant’s friend near forest area, backside Colony No.4 on 17.03.2019. A case FIR No. 78, U/S 394, 323, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later 1.) Sandeep R/o # 130, Block-F, Colony No.4, Chandigarh 2.) Raja Sharma R/o # 518, Block-C, Colony No.4, Chandigarh & 3.) Deepak R/o # 193/B, Sundar Nagar, Village- Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Rahul R/o Village- Bhukhri, PS- Kharar, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s motor cycle No. PB-65AL-0860 from park parking, Sector-53, Chandigarh on 17.03.2019. A case FIR No. 67, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 23, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the statement of Shaurya R/o # 1870, Nirwana Society, Sector-49/B, Chandigarh, who alleged that driver of PRTC Bus No. PB-65AD-1203 namely Sandeep Singh R/o Village- Budanpur Banghar, Distt.-Karnal, Haryana who hit tocomplainant’s activa scooter No. CH-01BJ-4800 near Sector 46/46/49/50 light point, Chandigarh on 19.03.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Driver of bus namely Sandeep Singh arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
Shiv Kumar R/o # 558, Vikas Nagar, Village- Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person occupant of splendor motor cycle sped away after snatched complainant’s mobile phone from near Petrol Pump, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh on 19.03.2019. A case FIR No. 38, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
Rahul Kaundal R/o # 5529/1, Modern Housing Complex, Chandigarh reported that Ajay Vinod Kumar and Arun Prashant Singh taken Rs. 27 lacs from complainant in the months of July, August & September, 2016 in different bank accounts of alleged persons for providing the admission in MBBS through NEET. But the alleged persons neither provide admission to complainant in MBBS nor refund his money. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Protection of Children Act 2015
A case FIR No. 35 U/s 75, 79 Juvenile Justice Care & Protection of Children Act 2015 has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh against unknown person on the complaint of Tabshum Khan, District Child Protection Officer, Chandigarh. An E-Mail was received to District Child Protection Officer regarding child labour from a girl child age about 13 years at # 275, Sector-21/A, Chandigarh on 15.03.2019. Child was rescued by WCHL and rehabilitated in Snehalaya for girls Sector 15, Chandigarh on 15.03.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.
