Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 09 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.
In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 09 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 10 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-3 = 3 cases, PS-17= 1 case, PS-I.T Park= 3 cases, PS-MM= 2 cases.
This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Damage to property
A case FIR No. 21, U/S 435 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Danish R/o # 2010/B, EWS Colony, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown person put fire to complainant’s motor cycle No. CH-01BR-8368 while parked near his residence on 10.02.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 44, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh on the statement of Mridu Chatiya R/o SDG, BSF Headquarter Lakhnaur, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab against driver of car No. CH-01BS-1539 who hit and run to complainant’s bus No. PB-08BC-9522 near Press light point, Chandigarh on 10.02.2019. 13 persons got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 22, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of C. Satwinder Singh (Traffic staff) R/o # 30, Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh against driver of pulsar motor cycle No. CH-04K-2465 who hit complainant’s near Sector- 14/25 turn, Chandigarh on 10.02.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Accused person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 40, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the statement of Samwartak Singh R/o # 125, Sector-23, Chandigarh against driver of unknown car who hit to pedestrian complainant’s near SCF No.35, Sector-23, Chandigarh on 10.02.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Deterred public servant while discharging govt. duty
A case FIR No. 47, U/S 332, 353 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of HC. Shashi Bhushan (Traffic Staff) who alleged that driver of car No. PB-10GW-0546 hit to complainant and deterred him while discharging Govt. duty at Sector 44/45/50/51 light point on 10.02.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Abducted/missing
A person resident of Village-Daria, Chandigarh reported that complainant’s daughter aged about 15 years has been abducted/ missing from her residence since 10.02.2019. A case FIR No. 21, U/S 363, 366 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Attempt to murder/Arms Act
Gurdeep Singh R/o # 115/2, Village-Daddu Majra, Chandigarh alleged that 6/7 unknown person occupant of Red Bolero No. PB-30K-8034 beaten complainant and also threatened him by firing near wine shop, Village-Daddu Majra, Chandigarh on 10.02.2019. A case FIR No. 21, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 336, 341, 506, 307 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Burglary
Akash Chander R/o # 3778, Maloya colony, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 20 gram gold ornaments, 500 gram silver ornaments, 1 laptop, keyboard, hard disk, Samsung LCD and cash Rs. 45,000/- from complainant’s resident after breaking locks on night intervening 07/08.02.2019. A case FIR No. 20, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
