One person arrested for disobeying orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 134, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh against Ravinder Soni R/o # 257, PWT, MM, Chandigarh who was arrested, near Fauji Dhaba, MM, Chandigarh, during lockdown hours on 19.08.2020. He disobeyed orders of the DM, UT, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 Two persons arrested for gambling satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Sunil Malhotra R/o # 2104, PWT, MM, Chandigarh while he was playing dara/satta near Gate No.3, MHC, Maniamajra, Chandigarh on 20.08.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 5150/-. A case FIR No. 132, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Paramjit Singh R/o # 252, PWT, MM, Chandigarh while he was playing dara/satta near Housing board light point, Chandigarh on 20.08.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 5370/-. A case FIR No. 133, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested in theft

Adesh Kumar R/o Khuda Ali Sher near School, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainants bicycle, from parking of Leisure valley, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 20.08.2020. A case FIR No. 77, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Later on Accused Kanta R/o Village Kansal, Distt. Mohali arrested in this case.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chanpreet Singh R/o # D-1/1101, Kings Bunny Apartments, TDI City, Sonipat, Haryana reported that Sohan Singh R/o # 1, Village Chowki, Sector 32, Panchkula, Haryana, who stole away complainants purse containing Adhaar card, Rs. 500/- and 12 dollars from his car No. HR12V-5098, from Elante Mall parking, Ind Area, Chandigarh on 20.08.2020. Accused caught from the spot. A case FIR No. 167, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
