One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 13.06.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Baljit Singh R/o # 2668, Sector- 28/C, Chandigarh (age- 26 yrs) from near BDC Light Point, Sector- 26, Chandigarh, Chandigarh and recovered 07 gram heroin from his possession on 13.06.2019. A case FIR No. 132, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Raja Ram R/o # 1923, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh from near Community Centre, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh while he illegally possessing 07 boxes (quarters) of Country made liquor carried in auto No. HR-68B-8991 on 13.06.2019. A case FIR No. 102, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Auto also taken into Police possession. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Manjit Singh R/o # 75, sector- 18/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 3,000/- and mobile phone from complainant’s residence on night intervening 11/12.06.2019. A case FIR No. 75, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Gulshan Kumar R/o # 1438/2, Sector- 29/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s activa scooter No. CH-01BD-6291 while parked near Booth No. 50, Market Sector- 29/C, Chandigarh on 11.06.2019. A case FIR No.138, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS- Indst. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

Pardeep Kumar R/o # 142, Village- Behlana, Chandigarh, reported that his daughter age about 14 years have been missing from near Govt. High School, Village- Behlana, Chandigarh on 12.06.2019. A case FIR No. 175, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later missing girl traced out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for attempt to murder

        A case FIR No. 123 U/s 341, 323, 324, 307 IPC has been registered in PS- IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bhupinder Kaur R/o Village- Satyawali, PS- Bharowal, Distt.- Taran Taran, Punjab who stated that Shamsher Singh R/o Village- Uppal PS- Bharowal, Distt.- Taran Taran, Punjab (husband) who stabbed complainant in her back with knife near Shastri Nagar Light Point, Chandigarh on 13.06.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Accused person namely Shamsher Singh (age- 21 yrs) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
