Three arrested for possessing illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Vikrant Singh R/o Village-Pakshiwala Rajpura Distt- Patiala (PB) and recovered 48 Bottles of English liquor from his possession near # 18, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 27.12.2020. A case FIR No. 115, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Rajinder Kumar R/o # 2915, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh and recovered 32 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near # 2907, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh on 27.12.2020. A case FIR No. 215, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Ajay Kumar R/o # 2712, DMC, Chandigarh and recovered 23 quarters of country made liquor marka santra from his possession near Karan Taxi Stand, DMC, Chandigarh on 27.12.2020. A case FIR No. 180, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
A lady resident of Sector-12A, Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s and her friend purse from complainant’s car No. PB-65AA-2606 parked at paid parking of Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh on 27-12-2020. A case FIR No. 114, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Rajiv Mahajan R/o # 3013, Sector-47/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Esteem car No. CH-01Z-2817 parked near his residence on the night intervening 22/23-12-2020. A case FIR No. 339, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Attempt to Theft
A case FIR No. 179, U/S 380, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Nirmal Kumar R/o # 99 DMC, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person attempted theft by breaking the ATM machine of HDFC in front of his shop i.e. Sai Medicine Chemist, Village Dadu Majra, Chandigarh 27.12.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 198, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Pankaj R/o VPO-Kansal Distt-Mohali (PB) who alleged that driver of car No. CH-01BW-4509 hit to Activa Scooter No. PB-27F-3302 driven by complainant’s cousin namely Sandeep Rana R/o VPO- Kansal Distt- Mohali (PB) at Khalsa Light Point, Sector 7/26, Chandigarh on 24-12-2020. He got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
