Two persons arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 21.10.2019. Later they were released on bail.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Ekant R/o # 3501, Sector-23/D, Chandigarh and recovered 50 gram heroin from his possession near Bus Stop, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 21.10.2019. A case FIR No. 263, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Adarsh Kumar Singla R/o # 111, New Officer Colony Patiala (PB)  reported that unknown person stolen away gold Kada of complainant at lift, New OPD, PGI, Sector 12, Chandigarh on 14.10.2019. A case FIR No. 213, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dr. Vijay Kumar R/o Room No. 203, MDH, E-Block, PGI, Sector-12, Chandigarh and Dr. Sahil R/o Room No. 206, MDH, E-Block, PGI, Sec-12, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away one laptop from Room No. 203 and one Laptop, I-Pad, 2 Gold Bangles and 3 gold rings, 1 pair ear ring and cash Rs. 6000/- from Room No. 206, MDH, E-Block, PGI, Sec-12, Chandigarh on 20.10.2019. A case FIR No. 214, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 274, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the statement of Sanjay Paswan R/o Shop No. 119, Mittal Corporation, Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of motor cycle sped away after hitting to complainant’s friend namely Kamleshwar (pedestrian) near TPT light point, Chandigarh 20.10.2019. He got injured and admitted in GMCH-32 Chandigarh and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 176, U/S 379, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of a girl resident of Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown three persons occupant of Activa Scooter snatched away complainant’s bag containing 2 Bank Passbook, Adhar Card, 2 ATM card and Cash Rs. 3500/- near DC Montessori School, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 21.10.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 15/16 years went to School on 19.10.2019 and missing since then. A case FIR No. 186, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Wrongful restrain

A case FIR No. 257, U/S 341, 448, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bal Bhushan Jain R/o # 1326, Sector-44, Chandigarh against Daljit Singh, Jagjit Singh & other R/o # 2384, Sec-44/C, Chandigarh. Complainant alleged that he had purchased first floor of H.No. 2384 and made agreement to sell/purchase and made 40 lakh payment to alleged persons. The alleged persons locked the stairs and restrained entry of complainant to first floor of the property in question. Alleged person namely Daljit Singh and Jagjit Singh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Harjeet Singh R/o # 17, Village Shahpur, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01AN-7880 from parking of Market, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh on 19.10.2019. A case FIR No. 371, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Committed Affray

A case FIR No. 171, U/S 160 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh against Vikram Rana R/o # 1182, DMC, Chandigarh, Shubham R/o # 1717, DMC, Chandigarh and 4 other unknown persons who quarreled with each other and committing affray near Beat Box, DMC, Chandigarh on 21.10.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.
