Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Three different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-03, I.T Park & PS-49, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 17.06.2019.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Sector- 25, Chandigarh from near Toilets, DBC turn, Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered 05 gram heroin from his possession on 17.06.2019. A case FIR No. 111, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Subhash Chand R/o # 9, Village- Hallomajra, Chandigarh from near Sector- 47, C/D road, Chandigarh while he illegally possessing 48 quarters of Country made liquor on 17.06.2019. A case FIR No. 181, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

03 arrested for Murder

       A case FIR No. 129, U/S 302, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-I.T Park, Chandigarh on the statement of HC. Ashok Kumar 19/CP who reported that on 17.06.2019 after receiving call from control room regarding quarrel at H. No. 1315, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh he reached at the spot and when he visited second floor of the said house he saw 03 persons strangulating a woman who is also having injuries on her body. In the mean time other Police Personnel also reached at the spot and nabbed all the 03 persons. During investigation it revealed that deceased lady name is Lalita W/o Mahinder Kumar R/o # 1315, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh (age-35 yrs).  03 accused persons namely 1.) Mukesh Kumar R/o # 1315, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh (age- 33 yrs) 2.) Sita Ram R/o # 1315, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh (age- 63 yrs) 3.) Lalita R/o # 1315, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh (age- 60 yrs) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

        A case FIR No. 88, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the statement of Badlu Ali R/o # 3930, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown driver Tata 407 who sped away after hitting to pedestrian person namely Ghanshyam R/o # 152, NAC, Manimajra, Chandigarh, near Fun Republic, Manimajra, Chandigarh, on 16.06.2019. Pedestrian person got injured and admitted in GMCH- 32, Chandigarh. Then referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 150, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the statement of Nand Lal R/o Jhuggi No. 68, Shahpur, Rajiv Colony, Sector- 38 west, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of alto car No. CH-03R-8610 who sped away after hitting to pedestrian person namely Prem Kumar R/o Shahpur Colony, Sector- 38 west, Chandigarh near Sector 33/34/44/45 Chowk, Chandigarh on 16.06.2019. Pedestrian person got injured and admitted in GMCH- 32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Kidnapping

A case FIR No. 80, U/S 365, 147, 149 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the statement of Rajesh Kumar Sharma R/o # 2248, Sector- 22/C, Chandigarh who alleged that 5/6 unknown persons occupant of Grey color car who kidnapped one girl from near Sector- 21/22 light point, Chandigarh on 17.06.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Lait Bhardwaj R/o # 459, Sector- 45/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 3,00,000/- (approx), gold & silver jewellery, ATM Cards and some documents from complainant’s residence after breaking from his house after breaking main door locks on 17.06.2019. A case FIR No. 157, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
