Chandigarh Police arrested Vishal R/o # 3123/1, Housing Board Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh (age 33 years) near turn IRB Complex Road, Sarangpur, Chandigarh and recovered 5 gram Heroin and one Knife (Kamanidar) from his possession on 26.04.2019. A case FIR No. 58, U/S 21 NDPS Act & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for consuming liquor at public place
A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 25.04.2019.
This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
One arrested for possessing illegal liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Satish Kumar R/o # 1149, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh from near Japani Garden, Sector-31, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 96 quarters of country made liquor on 26.04.2019. A case FIR No. 134, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against Gambling/Satta
Chandigarh Police arrested Mukesh R/o # 1399, Sec-35, Chandigarh and Hardeep @ Kaju R/o # 712/3, Ph-3, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Public Toilets, SCO No. 16, Grain Market, Sec-26, Chandigarh on 26.04.2019. Total cash Rs. 1350/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 107, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later they bailed out. A girl resident of Sector-42/B, Chandigarh reported that one unknown person occupant of Activa scooter sped away after snatching complainant’s purse containing credit & debit cards, cash Rs. 15,000/- and I-phone at parking of Public Toilet near Bargain Booz Bar, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 26.04.2019.
