Complainant and her friend namely Epsita got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged Car driver namely Baljinder Singh R/o Village-Saketri, Distt.-Panchkula, Haryana arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल की जंयती के अवसर पर 31 अक्तूबर को देशभर में रन फॉर युनिटी का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा आम जन को राष्ट्रीय एकता की शपथ भी दिलाई जाएगी। इसी कड़ी में जिला प्रशासन की ओर से  सैक्टर 3 स्थित ताऊ देवीलाल स्टेडियम में -रन फॉर युनिटी-जिला स्तरीय मैराथन का आयोजन किया जाएगा।

श्रम एवं रोजगार राज्य मं़त्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने कहा कि रक्तदान का कोई विकल्प नहीं है तथा किसी भी अनजान, बीमार एवं जरूरमंद व्यक्ति को रक्त देकर उसे जीवनदान दिया जा सकता है। इससे बड़ा पुण्य का कार्य कोई और हो नहीं सकता।
श्रम एंव रोजगार मंत्री इंडस्ट्रीयल ऐरिया फैस 1 में लघु उद्योग भारती एवं रोटरी क्लब के सहयोग से आयोजित रक्तदान शिविर में रक्तदान करने वाले से बातचीत कर रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि आंखे दान करने से केवल सुंदर संसार देखा जा सकता है लेकिन रक्तदान करने से व्यक्ति को जीवनदान दिया जा सकता है। जीवनदान से बढक़र कोई दान एवं पुनीत कार्य नहीं होता। उन्होंने कहा कि रक्तदान करने से शरीर पर किसी प्रकार का दुष्प्रभाव नहीं पड़ता बल्कि स्वस्थ व्यक्ति 24 घण्टें में रक्त की आसानी से पूर्ति कर लेता है। उन्होंने रक्तदाताओं का हौसला बढ़ाते हुए कहा कि उन्हें इस प्रकार के कार्यों में बढ़चढ़ कर स्वैच्छा से रक्तदान करना चाहिए ताकि दूसरे व्यक्ति भी उनसे प्रेरित होकर आगे बढ़ सके।
श्री सैनी ने रक्तदाओं का बैज लगाकर प्रोत्साहित किया तथा उन्हें एक एक किलोग्राम घी भेंट किया। लघु उद्योग भारती एवं रोटरी क्लब की ओर से यह 7वां रक्तदान शिविर लगाया गया, जिसमें 71 युनिट स्वैच्छा से युवाओं ने रक्दान किया।  इस अवसर पर एमडी दिनेश अरोड़ा, निदेशक राजन गुप्ता सहित लघु उद्योग भारती एवं रोटरी क्लब के पदाधिकारी मौजूद रहे।

फसलों के नयूनतम मूल्यों में हुई दोगुनी वृद्धि: ज्ञान चंद गुप्ता

केन्द्र एवं राज्य सरकार किसानों को खुशहाल एवं समृद्ध बनाने के लिए प्रयासरत है। किसानों की फसलों का न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य एमएसपी में दो गुणा तक की रिकॉड बढ़ौतरी की जा रही है।
विधायक एवं मुख्य सचेतक श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने बताया कि सरकार द्वारा किसानों की आमदनी 2022 तक दोगुनी करने का निर्णय लिया गया है। इसी कड़ी में लगातार किसानों की फसलों के दाम बढ़ाए गए है। उन्होंने बताया कि गेहूं का न्यूनतम समर्थन वर्ष 2014 मे 1450 रुपये प्रति क्ंिवटल था, जिसे अब बढ़ाकर 1840 रुपये कर दिया गया है। इसी प्रकार चने का भाव 4620 रुपये, सरसों का 4200 रुपये तथा धान ग्रेड ए का भाव 1770 रुपये कर दिया गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि मक्का का भाव 1700 रुपये जबकि बाजरे का भाव 1950 रुपये तथा ज्वार का भाव 2430 रुपये एवं गन्ने का सबसे अधिक 330 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल दिया जा रहा है। इसी प्रकार कपास का भाव 5450 रुपये, मंूग 6975 रुपये, मुंगफली का भाव 4890 रुपये तथा सुरजमुखी का भाव 5388 रुपये प्रदान किया जा रहा है।
विधायक ने बताया कि किसानों की फसलों को सुरक्षित एंव जोखिम मुक्त बनाने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना, भावान्तर भरपाई योजना चलाई जा रही है। प्रधानमंत्री बीमा योजना ने हर किसान को जोखिम फ्री करने का कार्य किया है। प्राकृतिक आपदा से खराब फसल का भारी भरकम 12 हजार रुपये प्रति एकड़ मुआवजा दिया जा रहा है। भावान्तर भरपाई योजना से सब्जी उगाने वाले किसानों को जबरदस्त लाभ प्राप्त हो रहा है। टमाटर तथा आलु के 400 रुपये एंव प्याज व फुलगोभी के 500 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल भाव तय किए गए है। उन्होंने बताया कि प्रदेश में पहली बार 565 किसानों को भाव के अंतर की 12 लाख रुपये की राशि का वितरण किया गया।
उन्होंने बताया कि सरकार ने कृषि विभाग के बजट आंबटन में रिकॉड बढ़ौतरी करके किसानों की खुशहाली के द्वार खोले हैं। कृषि के लिए 18.49 करोड़ रुपये का प्रावधान करके पहली बार कृषि योजनाओं को आम आदमी तक पहुंच बनाई है। इन योजनाओं का लाभ सीधा किसानों को मिले इसके लिए डिजिटलाईजेशन के तहत सबसिडी दी गई है।

नकली मिठाई बनाने बेचने वालों पर चलेगा सरकारी डंडा

दीपावली के त्यौहार के दृष्टिगत मिठाई व अन्य दुकानों पर मिलावटी सामान की बिक्री पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए स्वास्थ्य एवं खाद्य  सुरक्षा विभाग की टीम द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से पंचकूला स्थित मिठाई, दूध डेयरियों तथा बेकरी की दुकानों 7 दुकानों पर छापेमारी कर खाद्य पदार्थों के सेंपल लिए।
इस संबंध में जानकारी देते हुए सिविल सर्जन योगेश शर्मा ने बताया कि खाद्य सुरक्षा अािधकारी सुभाष चंद्र तथा जिला स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी डॉ० परविंदर सिंह की अध्यक्षता में टीम द्वारा दुकानों में छापेमारी की गई। टीम द्वारा की गई छापेमारी में अवध बेकर्स एण्ड स्वीट्स सेक्टर 15 से बिस्कुट, महावीर स्वीट्स अभयपुर्र से खोया, ओद्यौगिक क्षेत्र फेज । स्थित शिव स्वीट्स से अंगूरी पेठा, कसाना डेयरी हरिपुर से पनीर व भैंस के  दूध, अनुपम स्वीट्स सेक्टर 11 से खोया बर्फी व गुलाब जामुन, नाथू स्वीट्स सेक्टर 11 से खोया व स्पंजी रसगुल्ला और सेक्टर 16 स्थित चीमा डेयरी व स्वीट्स शॉप से खोया व रसगुल्ले की मिठाई के सेंपल लिए गए। उन्होंने बताया कि इन सेंपलों को खाद्य प्रयोगशाला करनाल में विश£ेशण के लिए भेज दिये गए हैं। इसके अलावा दुकानों पर खराब पड़ी मिठाईयों को भी टीम द्वारा गिरवाया गया है।
उन्होंने सभी दुकानदारों को चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि यदि किसी भी दुकान पर मिलावटी या खराब खाद्य सामग्री पाई जाती है तो उनके खिलाफ नियमानुसार कार्रवाही अमल में लाई जाएगी। इसके साथ-साथ उन्होंने जिला वासियों से भी अपील करते हुए कहा कि यदि उनकी मिलावटी या सामान से संबंधित कोई भी शिकायत है तो वे सिविल सर्जन पंचकूला के कार्यालय में अपनी शिकायत दर्ज करवा सकते हैं, जिस पर विभाग द्वारा कार्यवाही की जाएगी।

Carcass of headless leopard found in Bargarh

The carcass of a headless ‘big cat,’ initially suspected to be that of a tiger, caused a flutter here before forest and veterinary officers rushed to the spot and stated that the carcass was that of a leopard.

The severed head was lying nearby and the carcass was found at least 200 meters outside the Debrigarh Sanctuary. It is suspected that the cat has been dead for 8 to 10 days. Some of its nails and teeth were missing, said forest officers.

It is suspected that the leopard was killed by a trap laid by villagers who are out to protect their paddy from the wild animals.

“We are waiting for the post-mortem reports to come to a final conclusion,” said forest officers.

The initial surmise of a tiger being killed has been rejected.

Tiger sighting at Debrigarh was reported four months ago. Camera traps also have captured tiger movement in the sanctuary.

The area is prone to Maoist activities. In fact, forest officers have, in recent times, been cautioned about the presence of Maoists in the region by the security forces. They have removed some of the cameras from the core area as these are often taken away by the left wing extremists.

Tata Sons says its contract with Suhel Seth’s consultancy will end next month

The managing partner of Counselage India was accused of sexual harassment by at least five women under the #MeToo campaign.

Natarajan Chandrasekaran-led Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group, has decided to terminate its contract with Suhel Seth’s firm Counselage India, after he was accused of sexual harassment by at least five women under the #MeToo campaign.

“Counselage’s contract with Tata Sons will end on November 30, 2018,” a Tata sons spokesperson told media.

Seth, an author, lobbyist and a socialite worked as a consultant with the Tata Group’s public relations team, had played a pivotal role in rebuilding the Tata brand in the aftermath of the management crisis within the group in 2016, when Cyrus Mistry was removed as chairman of Tata Sons.

Earlier, when the accusations against managing partner of Counselage India, Suhel Seth came out in social media platforms, Tata Group had said that the company was looking into the issue and would soon take a decision on the matter.

“Tata Group is committed to promoting a safe workplace for women. We have noted the recent reports regarding Mr Seth in the media. We are looking into the issue and will decide on a further course of action in this regard,” said a Tata Sons statement earlier.

Earlier, Tata Sons Group firm Tata Motors had asked Suresh Rangarajan, head of its corporate communications to proceed on leave after allegations of sexual harassment were levelled against him.

A case FIR No 411 Dated 28.10.18 u/s 147, 149, 332, 353, 323 IPC has been registered on the complaint of HC Mhavir Singh No 1005/CP, who mentioned that on 28.10.18, he along with C Pardeep 434/CP was on patrolling duty in Ram Darbar beat area on his private motorcycle, in the meantime, he saw the absconded accused namely Deepak @ Deepa S/o Kalu Ram # 1384, Ph-II, Ram Darbar, Chd, in attempt to murder case i.e. FIR No 112 Dated 14.03.18 u/s 147, 149, 452, 506, 427, 307 IPC PS 31, Chd and FIR No 298 Dated 17.09.17 u/s 147,148,149,307,506 IPC and 25/54/59 Arms Act PS 31, who was sitting on pillion seat of the motorcycle, which was driving by one Anil Kumar, who is also involved and on bail in case FIR no. 298/17 u/s 147,148,149, 307, 506 IPC & 25/54/59 Arms Act. On this, the police officials started following them. On seeing police officials, Anil Kumar (motorcyclist) escaped with motorcycle after dropping the accused Deepak @ Deepa, who further tried to sped away, but the accused was caught by HC Mhavir Singh No 1005/CP after a great struggle. On this, the accused Deepak @ Deepa raised an alarm for his help, thereon, in the meantime, his associates namely Gaurav, Aman, Akram Khan @ Sonu & Anil started pelting stones on the police officials to get the accused Deepak released, therein, HC Mhavir Singh & Const. Pardeep Kumar 434/CP sustained injuries on his face & knee and blood was oozing. But, HC Mhavir Singh did not let the accused Deepak @ Deepa released from his clutch. During the episode, the accused Deepak@ Deepa also received injuries, who also tried his best to release himself. They also succeeded to apprehend the stone pelter co-accused Akram Khan @ Sonu with the help of Const. Pardeep Kumar 434/CP. Whereas, other accused managed to escape from the spot before the arrival of the police party.
That, the accused Deepak @ Deepa S/o Kalu Ram R/o H No 1384, Phase II, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and Akram Khan @ Sonu S/o Sultan Khan R/o HNo 367, RD II, Chandigarh have been arrested and other co-accused in the present case are absconded from their houses.  Police parties have been dispatched to their hideouts to nab them.
