Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 15 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 15 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 18 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-11 = 2 cases, PS-17 = 2 cases, PS-SPR = 1 case, PS-19 = 1 case, PS-26 = 1 case, PS-IA = 1 case,  PS-MJ = 2 cases, PS-31 = 1 case, PS-36 = 2 cases, PS-39 = 1 case, PS-Maloya = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Accident

A case FIR No. 366, U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the statement ofDadan Kumar Mishra R/o # 1347, Ph-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh against driver of unknown vehicle which sped away after hitting M/Cycle No. PB 65 XT 5194 driven by Omparkash Mishra R/o # 354, Village-Behlana, Chandigarh near Makhan Majra Road, Chandigarh on 20.09.2018. He got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh where later he declared dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Lakhmir Singh Rathore R/o # 1399/A, Sector-39/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away gold ornaments, silver coins and one ATM card from his house after breaking locks on 20-09-2018 . A case FIR No. 384, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
