Panchkula, February 3:
With a view to encourage people’s participation in the fight against COVID-19, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Mahavir Kaushik launched the 3-day campaign with flagging off the mobile van on covid vaccination and appropriate behavior from Mini Secretariat premises in Sector 1, here today.
On this occasion, Sh Mahavir Kaushik was also presented with a book entitled “Satyagraha” based on the freedom struggle of the country by Smt Sapna Batra, Deputy Director, Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Chandigarh.
The Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Chandigarh under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India in collaboration with District Administration, Panchkula is organizing a three day mobile campaign on Covid vaccination and appropriate behavior in district Panchkula.
Sh. Kaushik appreciated the efforts of the Ministry to spread awareness of the much needed precautions and vaccination of the adolescent between the age group of 15-18 years.
The focus of campaign is ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ for Covid vaccination, especially of the 15-18 age group and precautionary dose to the above 60 years age group. It will also reiterate the key message of “wearing a mask, washing hands and follow social distancing by practicing “Do Gaj ki Doori”. All these messages are displayed in the mobile Van along with playing recorded messages on Covid awareness.
During 3-days the Covid Awareness Van will cover different rural areas, colonies, sectors, residential areas and markets of District Panchkukla. The rural areas of Barwala, Pinjore and Raipur Rani Blocks will also be the focus areas during the campaign.
A Vaccination camp in collaboration with the Civil Surgeon Office, Panchkula will be organised in the Government Senior Secondary School, Sector -15, Panchkula on February 4 for the students between 15-18 of age group. On the occasion, a theme-based cultural programme including a Nukkad Natak will also be organized to disseminate information. A quiz contest will be conducted to sensitise the students on Covid protocol and vaccination.
