Devotees Attribute to Guru Nanak’s Teachings in Letter and Spirit

There is only one Gurdwara in Chandigarh where langar is not served but still there is uninterrupted service of langar. One has to wait for two months to offer langar service at Gurdwara Nanaksar located in Sector-28.
There are no Golaks. There is no need to ask, whoever has to do seva should come and do seva according to devotion.
Baba Gurdev Singh says that sangats are waiting for their turn to serve. In the Gurdwara, langar is served at all three times. People bring langar from their homes. If one wants to set up a langar, he has to wait for at least two months. Some serve in the morning, some in the afternoon and some at night. It is continuous recipe of Akhand Path all the time. Kirtan is performed every day from 7 am to 9 pm and from 5 pm to 9 pm. The Diwan prostrates on the day of the new moon every month.
All sorts of arrangements were made for the needy even during the Corona period.
Gurdwara Nanaksar was built on the day of Diwali. Baba Gurdev Singh, head of Nanaksar Gurdwara in Chandigarh, says that it has been more than 50 years since the construction of this Gurdwara. Spread over an area of 2.5 acres, the Gurdwara also has a library and offers free dental treatment.
The annual fair is held in March every year. This annual festival lasts for seven days. It attracts a large number of people from all over the world. During this time a huge bloody camp was set up.
Although many arrangements have been made as a precautionary measure due to Corona, the service continues.
What is left after the sangat’s langar is sent to PGI in addition to the hospitals in Sector-16 and 32, so that people can also take prasad there. This has been going on for years.
The headquarters is near Ludhiana
It is headquartered at Nanaksar Clare, near Ludhiana. Amritpan is done twice a year. Gurdwara Nanaksar has 30 to 35 persons including ragi pathis and sevadars. Apart from Chandigarh, Haryana, Dehradun and abroad, there are more than 100 Nanaksar shrines in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and England.
