One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Suraj (Age 34) R/o # 3559, sector-69 Mohali (PB), while he was consuming liquor at a public place near car parking Village Kajheri, sector-52, Chandigarh on 13.09.2021. A case FIR No. 162, U/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Bablu R/o Jeet ka wada, Village Nada sahib, Distt. Panchkula HR, while he was playing satta near Nescafe, NAC, Manimajra on 13.09.2021. Total cash Rs. 5560/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 156, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later, he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Karan R/o # 2305 sector-24C, Anil R/o # 1404, Kamar, Naya gaon, Distt. Mohali, (PB), while they were gambling on 13.09.2021 near Shivalik public School, Sector-41/B, Chandigarh. Total cash Rs. 1550/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 242, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later, he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A lady resident of Ram darbar, Chandigarh reported that her daughter aged about 17 years has been missing from her residence since 12.09.2021. A case FIR No. 127, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Dadu majra, chandigarh and recovered 24 banned injections from her possession Near T-Point Sec-39-A/B dividing Road, Chandigarh on 13.09.2021. A case FIR No. 241, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Angrej Singh R/o # 16A, Village Maloya reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No. CH-01BE-8235 from Palm garden sector-42 lake, Chandigarh on 4.09.2021. A case FIR No. 161, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.  

         Harshwardhan R/o # Prachin Shiv Mandir, sector-40/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his Activa Scooter No. CH-01BN-4734 from in front of Shiv mandir, Sector-40/B, Chandigarh on the night intervening 11/12-09-2021. A case FIR No. 239, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Quarrel

   A case FIR No. 68, U/S 325, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Prem (age-65 yrs),  R/o # 269, Village Kaimbwala, Chandigarh who alleged that Ankit Kumar (age-19 years),  R/o # Harmesh ka wada, Village kaimbwala, Chandigarh and Bimlesh @ Bagula Kumar (age-19 years),   R/o # Keerat Ka Wada, Village Kaimbwala, Chandigarh. Both attacked on complainant and injured him with some sharp object at Village Kaimbwala Chandigarh on 13.09.2021. Victim got injuries and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged persons arrested in this case.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 128, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Nitish Jindal R/o Plot No.9, DIC, Ind. Area Baddi, (HP) against Lalit Singla R/o Krishan Trading Baba Gaja Jain colony, Moti nagar, Ludhiana, who cheated complainant of Rs. 17, 32, 240/- for purchase of 80 ton plastic dana. Investigation of the case is in progress.
