Missing /Abduction

A person resident of Maulijagran, Chandigarh reported that his daughter aged about 14 years has been missing from his residence since 11.09.2021. A case FIR No. 109, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Maulijagra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Rachit Kumar (Age 34) R/o # 66, Astra Colony, Distt. Mohali, while he was consuming liquor at a public place near Village Dariya, Chandigarh on 12.09.2021. A case FIR No. 141, U/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out.

Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh police arrested Samim Khan R/o # 6252/C, Sector 56, Chandigarh (age-56 years) and recovered 12 bottles of country made liquor  from his possession near market, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh on 12.09.2021. A case FIR No. 237, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. He was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

  Chandigarh Police arrested three ladies all resident of Chandigarh, while they were gambling on public place, Sector 25, Chandigarh on 12.09.2021. Total cash Rs. 46000/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 121, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later, they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

  Chandigarh Police arrested Ramdev resident of Panchkula, while he was playing satta on 12.09.2021. Total cash Rs. 860/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 238, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later, he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Neel Kamal resident of Panchkula, Suraj resident of Sector 25, Chandigarh, Sunny resident of Sector-25, Chandigarh and Rajinder Kumar R/o Dhanas, Chandigarh, while they were gambling on 12.09.2021 near Mandir, Daumajra, Chandigarh. Total cash Rs. 6750/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 121, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later, he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
