One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Umesh Kumar R/o # 192/2, Village-Daria, Chandigarh (Age 32 Years) while he was consuming liquor at a public place near Wine Shop, Village Daria, Chandigarh on 31.08.2021. A case FIR No. 134, U/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out.

One arrested under Arms Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Monu Kumar @ Shetty R/o # 2189, Sector-52, Chandigarh and recovered one desi katta with 01 live cartridge from his possession near t-point, inner road, Sector 52, Chandigarh on 31.08.2021. A case FIR No. 156, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Gaurav Khanna R/o # 428, Sector-6, Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person committed theft at his clinic i.e. Khanna Clinic, # 1801/1, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh and stole away cash Rs. 43,000/- & some items on the night intervening 30/31-08-2021. A case FIR No. 132, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector 23, Chandigarh reported that one lady and one gents on motorcycle sped away after snatching complainant’s gold chain near H.No. 1162, Sector 23/B, Chandigarh on 31-08-2021. A case FIR No. 133, U/S 379A IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 137, U/s 406, 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Anoop Kumar R/o # 408, Sector-15/A, Chandigarh who alleged that Satish Kumar, Anupam Gupta, Satish Kumat Gupta, Pardeep Kumar Gupta and Others R/o SCO No. 196-197 Sector-34/A, Chandigarh cheated the complainant on the pretext of providing residential plot to the tune of Rs. 47,50,000/- under the conspiracy. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 138, U/s 420, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashwani Kumar & other R/o # 30, Block 2013, Sector-32/C, Chandigarh alleged that Narender Kapoor & other R/o # 2848, Sector-22/C, Chandigarh entered into an agreement to sell the 75 % share of H.No. 632, Sector 7, Panchkula (HR) on 07.05.2013. The alleged persons are not owners of the house in question to the share of 75 % but actually they only have 25 % share of the property. Investigation of the case is in progress.
