Praveer Ranjan, IPS has joined as IPS DGP/UT Chandigarh as Sanjay Baniwal repatriated to Delhi

Today, a bid farewell was given to Sanjay Baniwal, IPS DGP/UT at Police Lines Sector-26 who has been repatriated to Union Territory, Delhi after over 3 years tenure as DGP Chandigarh. Sanjay Beniwal, IPS joined Chandigarh Police as DGP in 2018 after serving various prestigious posting in Delhi and other part of country.  Amarao Singh, DSP/Security, Eight contingents of farewell-parade salute the DGP/UT.  Beside the contingents of police personnel, parade also followed by Mounted Police, Dogs Squad, Traffic interceptor, PCR Vehicle, QRT, Mobile X-ray Van, Police Hospital vehicle, Road safety exhibition van and Riot Control Vehicle etc. Omvir Singh Bishnoi, DIG/Chandigarh, Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, SSP/Chandigarh, Ms. Manisha Chaudhry, IPS, SSP/Security & Traffic, Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, SSP/Headquarters, Ketan Bansal, SP/City and all DSPs & Inspectors were also present in Farewell function at Police Lines.

In his address Ombir Singh, IPS DIG/UT thanks the DGP/UT under whose outstanding leadership and unique quality exceptional human being, Chandigarh Police provided the protection and security to citizen of Chandigarh through community policing. DIG/UT has highlighted some great initiatives taken by Sanjay Baniwal, IPS, i.e. installation of eBeat Book System and Emergency Response Support System (ERRS-Dial-112), which was inaugurated by Sh. Amit Shah, Hon’ble Union Minister and project like URJA (SPYM) and SAHYOG under Pradhan Mandtri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) for the welfare of citizen of Chandigarh as well as empowering the Youth of Chandigarh. On behalf of Chandigarh Police he wished best of luck for the next tenure.

                   Sanjay Baniwal, IPS, DGP/UT during their address thanks to all police personnel from the rank of Constable to DIG/UT for their cooperation in serving the better to general public. He also thanks the Chandigarh police for organizing wonderful parade in his respect.
