One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Rohit @ Bihari R/o # 952/A, Small flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh (Age-23 years) and recovered 304 gram ganja near Community center, EWS colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 17.08.2021. A case FIR No. 83, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector-41, Chandigarh reported that one unknown person occupant of motor cycle snatched away complainant’s gold chain near Krishna market, Sector-41, Chandigarh on 17.08.2021. A case FIR No. 212, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Parmod Kumar R/o # 404, Sector-56, Chandigarh reported that unknown persons on a Motor cycle snatched away complainant’s mobile phone near park, Sector-56 Chandigarh on 16.08.2021. A case FIR No. 211, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for Snatching

Pavan Jogi R/o # Village- Naya-gaon, Post Office- Thak khera, Distt- Shiv puri (MP) reported that 2 unknown persons snatched away complainant’s mobile phone near sector-32/33 dividing road, Sector-32 side, Chandigarh on 13-08-2021.  A case FIR No. 128, U/S 379A, 34 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later persons namely Mohamad sanjay @ Jaggu R/o # 641, Village Burail (Age 20 Years) and Vishal @ Vishu R/o # 497, Vill- burial, Chandigarh (age 21 years) have been arrested. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

Shiv Bhagwan R/o # 695/1, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Splendor Motor Cycle No. CH-04C-2503 from near his house on the night intervening 17/18-08-2021. A case FIR No. 99, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mouli jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Parampreet Singh Sahni R/o # 195, sector-18A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda Shine M/Cycle No. RJ-31SA-5882 from in front of his residance on night intervening 08/09-08-2021. A case FIR No. 48, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Mandeep Kumar R/o # 8, Samadhi gate mani majra, Chandigarh while he was gambling near bus stand mani majra, Chandigarh on 16.08.2021. Total cash Rs. 8220/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 142, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 98, U/S 177, 195, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh against a girl and her mother both resident of Chandigarh, for giving false evidence in case FIR No.90 U/s 376, 506, , 376(2)(N), 376 (3) IPC and 6 POSCO Act registered at PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
