Action against illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Basant Lal R/o # 2118/G, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh (age 40 years) and recovered 28 quarters of country liquor from his possession near EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh on 16.08.2021. A case FIR No. 115, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
A lady resident of DBC, Sector 25, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away one bicycle, mixer, iron and some steel pots from her house on 16.08.2021. A case FIR No. 111, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh Investigation of the case is in progress.
Bachittar Singh R/o #5323 MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs. 1,70,000/- from his car No. CH-03L-6510 while parked near Krishana Book Store, Sector 19/C, Chandigarh on 14.08.2021. A case FIR No. 47, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Abhishek Jindal R/o # 26, 1st floor, Sector-16, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s car No. HR-03S-3080 while parked near Bitta Petrol Pump, Manimajra, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 141, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
