Two apprehended for theft
Dinesh Kumar R/o # 1769/B, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 2 mobile phones and purse containing cash Rs. 1200/- and photos from complainant’s residence on the night intervening 09/10-08-2021. Later, one juvenile aged 17 years was apprehended in this case and sent to juvenile home. A case FIR No. 82, U/S 380 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Gurjant Singh R/o VPO Bindrakh, Tehsil & Distt. Ropar (PB) who is serving as driver in CTU Chandigarh alleged that a person namely Babu Ram R/o # 4747, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh who is gear mechanic at the workshop was stealing diesel from CTU bus parked at CTU Workshop, Depot No. 4, ISBT, Sector-43, Chandigarh on 10-08-2021. Complainant apprehended the alleged person and 2 cans containing (5 liter each) diesel were recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 142, U/S 380, 411 has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Alleged person Babu Ram R/o # 4747, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh (Age 24 years) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Rajesh Kumar R/o # 2055, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-49T-8181 parked in front of his residence on the night intervening 09/10-08-2021. A case FIR No. 141, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Ritwik Parshad Dass R/o # 2977/2, Sector-49D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda Livo M/Cycle No. OD-05U-0065 parked near his residence on the night intervening 28/29-07-2021. Theft
A lady R/o Village Kaimbwala, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away important documents, photos, cash Rs. 8000/- and I-phone from dickey of her Activa scooter No. CH-01BL-1298 while parked near Nand Sweets, Market, Sector-7, Chandigarh on 09-08-2021. A case FIR No. 159, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Burglary
Rajesh Kumar R/o # 46, Subhash Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 20 silver glass, 12 silver bowls, 50 silver sculptures of God, 8 silver chains, 24 silver kangan, 8 silver bracelet, 20 rakhis, 37 silver coins, and other silver jewelry (total weight about 4.2 kg) and gold nose pins/ nathni (weight about 6 tola) from complainant’s jewellery shop at his residence on the night intervening dated 09/10-08-2021. A case FIR No. 64, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-IT-Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
A lady resident of Sector-35, Chandigarh reported that one unknown person occupant of motor cycle snatched away complainant’s purse containing cash Rs. 3000/- and ATM card near H.No. 2336, Sector-35C, Chandigarh on 10.08.2021. A case FIR No. 144, U/S 379A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 143, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector 35, Chandigarh who reported that she had ordered 2 cotton suits costing Rs. 749/- from Myavara.com and she received parcel on 09.07.2021 in which she found two torn suits completely different from fabric and style. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 206, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Paramjit Singh Battu R/o # 3431, Sector-38/D Chandigarh who reported that unknown person called on his mobile number regarding verification of new credit card and took details of CVV number and OTP of his HSBC credit card and done transactions of Rs. 48480/-, 98101/- 98101/-.
