Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Rocky R/o # 1273, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh (Age 37 Years) and recovered 7 Boxes containing 84 Bottles of Liquor from his possession near Punjab Roadways Workshop, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 08.08.2021. A case FIR No. 123, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Manoj R/o # 857, DMC, Sector-38/West, Dadu Majra, Chandigarh and recovered 180 Bottles of country made liquor from his possession near Karan Taxi Stand, Sec-38west, Chandigarh on 08.08.2021. A case FIR No. 111, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Rahul R/o # 330, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh (Age 18 Years) and recovered 52 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near Community Center, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 08.08.2021. A case FIR No. 81, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Baljit Singh R/o # Plot No. 115, Ph-1, Ind. Area Chandigarh (Age 38 Years) and recovered 139 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near poultry farm chowk, Chandigarh on 08.08.2021. A case FIR No. 121, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sunil R/o # 2116/GF, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh and recovered 96 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near Satsang Bhawan, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh on 08.08.2021. A case FIR No. 110, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 157, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against Sahil (Manager) and Ajay Gupta (Owner) of ASOD club, SCO No. 51, sector-26, Chandigarh who opened the said club beyond the permissible time limit on 7/8.08.2021, thus violated the orders of District Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Karan Gupta R/o # 1016, Village Dariya, Chandigarh reported that unknown person ran away after stealing 3 mobile phones and a purse containing ear studs & cash Rs. 20,000/- from his house on the night intervening 07/08-08-2021. A case FIR No. 122, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 156, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Parshant R/o Village Chandikotla, Chandimandir, Panchkula, HR against unknown driver of Fortuner car who sped away after hitting to complainant’s friend namely Pradeep R/o Village ChandiKotala, Chandimandir, Panchkula (age 28 years) on 08.08.2021. Pradeep got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh where he was declared brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 139, U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vivek R/o # 1008, Sector-52, Chandigarh against driver of car No. PB-01C-2683 namely Kiranpal Singh R/o # 153/A, Room No. 10, Sahi Majra, Ph-5, Mohali (PB) who hit to complainant’s grandfather namely Kailash (cyclist) near D-Park, Sector 52, Chandigarh on 08.08.2021. Cyclist namely Kailash R/o Village Burial, Sector 45, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh where he was declared brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.
