Action against Gambling

          Chandigarh Police arrested Sikander (age-34 years) R/o # 2872, DMC, Chandigarh while he was playing satta at back side of Taxi Stand, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh on 29-07-2021. Total cash Rs. 1520/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 108, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under Arms act

Chandigarh Police arrested Brij Bhushan R/o # 337, PH-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh near transport area turn, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered one sharp knife from his possession on 29-07-2021. A case FIR No. 154, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Anil Kumar R/o # 1269, New light society, sector-51/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Maruti-800 Car No. CH-01R-4577 parked in front of SCO NO. 140-141, sector-34/A, Chandigarh on 29-07-2021. A case FIR No. 119, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Mayank Garg R/o # 3404, Sector-37/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01CC-0982 parked near Subway Market, Sector-38, Chandigarh on 08-07-2021. A case FIR No. 198, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Harinder Kumar R/o # 4776/3, Small Flats, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01AV-7663 parked near his residence on night intervening 21/22-07-2021. A case FIR No. 107, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Karnal (HR) harassed the complainant to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 44, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
