One arrested under Arms act

Chandigarh Police arrested Inder Sen R/o # 233, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh (Age-33 years) and recovered 1 one country made pistol and live cartridge from his possession from parking near Electricity House, EWS Colony, Maloya Complex, Chandigarh on 27.07.2021. A case FIR No. 106, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested in Burglary case

A lady resident of PH-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 3 gold rings, 01 gold necklace, 02 pair gold ear pins, 02 pair gold ear rings, 01 gold mangal sutra, 3 gold nose pin, 04 pair silver anklet, 03 silver sculptures, 01 bangle and 02 silver chains after breaking main door locks on 25-07-2021. Later two persons namely Saurav R/o # 786, Ph-1 Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and Rohit R/o # 1041, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 102, U/S 380, 457 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two apprehended for Snatching

Snehi Parshad R/o # 2231, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that three unknown persons snatched away mobile phone from complainant’s daughter aged 12 years in front of her residence on 27.07.2021. Later two alleged persons were apprehended by public and handed over to police. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Alleged person Deepak R/o 2534, B-Block, Ph-2, Ram Darbar Chandigarh (age-18 years) has been arrested and one juvenile aged 16 years sent to juvenile home. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 56, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of a girl resident of Village Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh against driver of Audi car No. CH/02/TC/000012/15/2 namely Ramji Pannu R/o # 1070, Sector-15B, Chandigarh who hit to Motor Cycle No. CH-01BV-0824 driven by complainant’s friend namely Arun Kohli near Small Chowk, Sector-3/4/9/10, Chandigarh on 26.07.2021. Complainant and Motorcycle driver namely Arun Kohli (Age-19 Years) R/o # 19, near Tube Well No. 4, Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh both got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Arun Kohli referred to PGI Chandigarh and expired during treatment. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 45, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vinod Kumar R/o # 603, Nav Yug Colony, Rajpura, Distt. Patiala (PB) who reported that lady driver of car No. CH-04C-8470 hit the complainant’s car No. CH-01BK-8830 from rear side near Chowk, Sector 18/19/20/21, Chandigarh on 16.07.2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

          A case FIR No. 57, U/S S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashu Kumar Jain, OSD, Vigilance Haryana, PB & Haryana, High Court, Chandigarh against unknown person who produced a forged and fabricated photocopy of an order dated 12.10.2020 purportedly passed in crm-m-29987 of 2020 and tried to be passed off as a genuine order. On the orders of Hon’ble The Chief Justice, A fact finding inquiry was conducted by learned registrar (vigilance) of this court in which it was found that a forged and fabricated photocopy of alleged order dated 12.10.2020 had been prepared in the aforesaid criminal miscellaneous petition and efforts had been made to pass it off as a genuine order. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A case FIR No. 196, U/S 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mr. Kanwalpreet Barar (IAS), Director Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Punjab who reported that a lady working as Senior Accountant at Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board and SP Singh Dhindsa working as Project Coordinator Manager Finance Accounts have misappropriated/embezzled the funds of PHTPB. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Bhure R/o Village Samaharpurva, PS-Bhinga, Distt. Shravasti, (UP) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Auto No. PB-65AH-6891 from parking near Park Plaza Hotel Sec-22/D, Chandigarh between June 2021 to 27-07-2021. A case FIR No. 119, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Quarrel

   A case FIR No. 118, U/S 324, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vinod Kumar R/o # 57, Village Burail, Chandigarh who alleged that Tushar R/o # 60, Burail, Chandigarh attacked on complainant with knife at his Shop No. 58, near Guru Ravidass Gurudwara, Burail, Chandigarh on 26.07.2021.  Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Later alleged person was arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
