Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Pardeep @ Sandeep R/o # 2679/3, Sector-49/C, Chandigarh (age 19 years) and recovered 30 halves of country liquor from his possession near Taxi Stand, Sector-49, Chandigarh on 22.07.2021. A case FIR No. 56, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Surinder Kant R/o # 4945/2, Sector-38, Chandigarh and recovered 21 quarters of country liquor from his possession near Water Works, Village-Dadu Majra, Chandigarh on 22.07.2021. A case FIR No. 103, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

          A case FIR No. 128, U/S 188, 269, 270 IPC & 58 Disaster Management Act 2005 has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh against Raj Kumar (Manager) R/o # 2751, Sector-15, Panchkula, HR who served Hooka at Shop i.e. Nescafe Common Room, Booth No. 830, 1st floor, NAC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 21.07.2021 and violated the orders of District Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Quarrel

A case FIR No. 99, U/S 323, 341, 506, 147, 149 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Saurav R/o # 149, DMC, Chandigarh who alleged that Sunny, Happy, Sahil, Noni, Arun beaten/threatened complainant with sticks & slugger at Rally Ground, Sector 25, Chandigarh on 20.07.2021. Later alleged persons namely Gourav @ Sunny R/o # 2779, DMC, Chandigarh, Arun Kumar R/o # 270 DMC, Chandigarh and Sahil R/o # 270 DMC, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 63, U/S 279, 337 added 304A IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the statement of Rajender Sharma R/o # 19/B, Pine Home Society, Dhakoli, Zirakpur (PB) against driver of unknown motor cycle who sped away after hitting to Motor Cycle No. CH-01BE-2317 near Railway light point, Chandigarh on 21.07.2021. Motor Cyclist namely Barinder R/o # 300, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh (age 45 years) got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh where he expired during the treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.
