Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Naveen R/o # 223, Ekta Vihar, Baltana (PB) and recovered one country made pistol with 5 live cartridges from his possession near Nirankari Bhawan, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 12.07.2021. A case FIR No. 80, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Rohit Sharma R/o # 3026, Sector-40D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01BB-3819 parked near Electricity Office Sector-17, Chandigarh on 10.07.2021. A case FIR No. 108, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Anand Jeet R/o # 11, Old Ropar Road, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda City Car No. CH-03D-9331 parked near his residence on the night intervening 09/10.07.2021. A case FIR No. 125, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Kamal Kumar R/o # 940/A, Sector-7B, Chandigarh reported that two unknown ladies stole away aluminum door frame and window, Aadhar card copy and pass book from his house on dated 12-07-2021. A case FIR No. 145, U/S 380, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A person resident of Village Dariya, Chandigarh reported that his daughter aged about 17 years has been missing from residence since 28.06.2021. A case FIR No. 110, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 92, U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint Dinesh Yadav R/o # 150/3, Small Flats, Maloya, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of unknown car sped away after hitting to his Motor Cycle No. CH-03U-1343 at light point sector-31/32 on 11-07-2021. Complainant’s friend namely Ranveer Singh R/o # 150/3, Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh (aged 45 years) who was pillion rider got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh and later declared dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Extortion

A case FIR No. 53, U/S 386, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person (inmate at Model Jail Burail) who alleged that Parbhat Tyagi, Ankit Narwal and others (inmate at Model Jail, Burail, Chandigarh) threatened to complainant in Model Jail, Burail, Chandigarh, extorted money from him and also demanding Rs. 30 lakh.
