Eight persons arrested for disobeying orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

Eight different cases U/S 188 IPC have been registered in different Police Stations i.e. PS-03, PS-17, PS-19, PS-26, PS-IA, PS-MM, PS-31, and PS-36 Chandigarh against Eight persons, who were arrested from the different parts of the city, while roaming without having pass/permit and thus, they were disobeyed orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh on 21.05.2021. Later, they were bailed out.

A case FIR No. 91, U/S 188, 269, 270 IPC & 51(A) Disaster Management Act 2005 has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh against unknown persons members of Youth Kisaan Ekta who assembled near Dushera Ground, Sector 34, Chandigarh on 26.05.2021 and they all disobey the orders of Distt. Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against gambling/satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Ajay R/o # 325, Ravindra Enclave, Baltana (PB) and Rakesh R/o # 1520, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh while they were playing satta at public place near Public Toilet, Sanjay Labour Colony, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 26.05.2021. Total cash Rs. 55,400/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 91, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act & 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.          Chandigarh Police arrested Santosh R/o # 150, PH-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh and Sangram Singh R/o # 67/8, Village-Attawa, Chandigarh while they were playing satta at public place near Kerosene Pump, Sector-29, Chandigarh on 26.05.2021. Total cash Rs. 47,600/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 92, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act & 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
