Three persons arrested for disobeying orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 78, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Birjesh Kumar Rathore R/o # 2848, Sector-22/C, Chandigarh who was arrested while roaming without having pass/permit near Kiran Cinema, Sector 22, Chandigarh and thus disobeyed orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh on 19.05.2021. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 79, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Irshad Khan R/o VPO-Gahiri Baraha , Distt. Rai Bareli, UP, Chandigarh who was arrested while roaming without having pass/permit near ISBT, Sector 17, Chandigarh and thus disobeyed orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh on 19.05.2021. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 113, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against Arvind R/o # 517, Ph-1, BDC, Chandigarh who was arrested while roaming without having pass/permit near EWS Flat, Park, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh and thus disobeyed orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh on 19.05.2021. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Sector-42C, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Distt. Karnal (HR) harassed the complainant to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 31, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Rahul R/o # 758, Kachi Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Splendor Motor Cycle No. CH-01BV-9571 near Balaji Auto Service Center, Sector-36, Chandigarh on 11-05-2021. A case FIR No. 96, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/satta

    Chandigarh Police arrested Suraj R/o # 2869, Sector-25, Chandigarh, Arjun R/o Jhuggi No. 576 Sector-25, Chandigarh, Satish Kumar R/o # 3, Rajinder Enclave, Baltana (PB) while they were gambling at public place near H.No. 2845, Sector-25, Chandigarh on 19.05.2021. Total cash Rs. 38,020/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 72, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

    Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjeev R/o # 4983, Sector-38W, Chandigarh while he was playing satta at public place near Ram Leela Ground, Sector-38W, Chandigarh on 19.05.2021. Total cash Rs. 1520/- was recovered from his possession. He also violated the orders issued by DM, UT, Chandigarh in view of Covid-19. In this regard, a case FIR No. 61, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act & 188 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
