Twenty two persons arrested for disobeying orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

Seventeen different cases U/S 188 IPC has been registered in different police stations i.e. PS-Saranpur=01, PS-19=02, PS-26=02, PS-Ind. Area=01, PS-Manimajra=02, PS-IT park=01, PS-31=02, PS-34=01, PS-36=01, PS-49=01 and PS-39=03 Chandigarh against 22 persons, who were arrested from the different parts of the city, while roaming without having pass/permit and thus, they were disobeyed orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh on 30.04.2021. Later, they were bailed out.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

 Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of DMC, Chandigarh (age 45 years) and recovered 32 quarters of country mad liquor on 30.04.2021. A case FIR No. 42, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Mandeep R/o Village Lon Narwana, Distt. Jind (HR) reported that unknown person who stole away complainan’s Jewellery i.e. one pair jhumki, neck garland, gold kada and cash Rs. 3000/- from his car No. HR32J-3415, which was parked in the parking of Elante Mall, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 30.04.2021. A case FIR No. 77, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Bintu R/o # 48/A, Block No. J, Colony No.4, Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that Krishan pal (Brother-in-law) R/o # 48/A, Block No. J, Colony No.4, Ind. Area, Chandigarh, who stole away four gold ring, gold ear ring, one tikka, one Jhumka and on silver kada from his residence on 30.04.2021. A case FIR No. 78, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Bharat Tiwar R/o # 1336/B, EWS colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s E-Rikshaw No. CH01TE-3409, which was parked near his residence on the night intervening 19/20-04.2021. A case FIR No. 48, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Deepak Kumar R/o # 2650, Vikas Nagar, Maulijagran, Chandigarh reported that 2 unknown person on motorcycle number not known, who snatched away complainant’s mobile phone, near railway bridge, Vikas Nagar on 21.04.2021.  A case FIR No. 43, U/S 356, 379-A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Abetment to suicide

A case FIR No. 71, U/S 306 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Shiv Karan resident of Chandigarh against Mukesh Rana @ Bunty  R/o Village Sojoti, Distt. Bilaspur (HP), who abetted/harassed complainant’s sister (age 22 years) who committed suicide on 19.04.2021 at her residence. Investigation of the case is in progress.
