Action against gambling/satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Bablu R/o # 16 village kaimbwala, Chandigarh (Age- 26 years), while he was gambling at Service Station Kaimbwala and violating the curfew order issued by DM Chandigarh on 21.04.2021. Total cash Rs. 10160/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 35, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act and 188 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. He was later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of sector 31, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Agra (UP) harassed the complainant to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 27, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Yameen (age 27 years)  R/o # Village Mudhet Tehsil Kairana PS- Bhawan, Distt- Shamli (UP) and recovered 132 bottles of whiskey 750 ml each of various marks from his vehicle No. HR69-4026 near PP- Daria, Chandigarh on 21.04.2021. A case FIR No. 68, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind-Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Gaurav Vashishth R/o # 52 Sec-7, Panchkula (HR), reported that unknown person who stole away some cash and one LCD screen from Plot No. 215 phase-1, Ind Area, Chandigarh on the night intervening 20/21.04.2021 by breaking the window of his plot premises. A case FIR No. 70, U/S 457, 380 IPC has been registered in PS- Ind Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Damage to govt vehicle

A case FIR No. 38, U/S 332, 353, 188 IPC & Sec-3 Of Prevention Of Damage To Public Property Act 1984 has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Constable Shiv kumar of PCR wing who reported that unknown persons, who were pelted stones on PCR vehicle No. CH01-GA-6674 and damaged it near Atta chakki, village Mauli jagran, Chandigarh on 21.04.2021 and run away. Investigation of case is in progress.
