One arrested under NDPS Act

          Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Sunil R/o Village-Rampura, Distt-Sambhal (UP) age 23 years, near bridge Sukhna Chow, Kishangarh, Chandigarh and recovered 500 grams of opium from his possession on 17.04.2021. A case FIR No. 27, U/S 18 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Child Labor

A case FIR No. 26 U/s 75, 79 JJ Act 2015 & 3(1), 14(1A) of Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986, has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mohd. Irshad, Child Protection Officer, District Child Protection Unit, Sector-39, Chandigarh against (1) M/s Davinder Dhaba, Sector-48, Chandigarh (2) M/s Chauhan Dhaba Sector-48, Chandigarh (3) Manoj R/o Booth No. 02, Motor Market, Sector-48, Chandigarh (4) Ashok, Shop No. 03, Sector-48, Chandigarh (5) Lucky, Booth No. 147 Sector-48, Chandigarh (6) Abhilash, Booth No. 221, Gate No. 2, Sector-48, Chandigarh (7) Ramesh, Booth No. 225 Gate No. 2 Sector-48, Chandigarh and (8) Avtar Auto Mobiles, Booth No. 127, Sector-48, Chandigarh who have engaged minor children as labor at their shops. The 09 children have been rescued by joint team of DCPU and AHTU under child labour category on 17.04.2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 62, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint Balwinder Singh R/o Village-Safdarpur, Distt.- Hoshiarpur (PB) who alleged that driver of Swift car No. CH-01AM-4242 namely Vaibhav Khanna R/o # 5869, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh hit complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB-08T-9954 near KB DAV Light Point Sector-7, Chandigarh on 17.04.2021. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A case FIR No. 61, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the statement of Aman R/o # 701/B, Village-Dariya, Chandigarh against driver of Truck No. HP-11A-5826 namely Neeraj R/o Village Ledhara, Distt- Bilaspur (HP) who hit to Activa Scooter No. CH01-BR-8702 driven by Bijender Kumar R/o # 12, Ph-1, BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh near Garcha turn light point, Chandigarh on 17.04.2021. Activa Scooter driver got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh where he was declared brought dead by doctors. Alleged truck driver Neeraj was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

          A lady resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident Patiala (PB) harassed the complainant to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A lady resident of Sector 56, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident Chander Vihar, New Delhi harassed the complainant to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 24, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A lady resident of Sector-8, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident Mohali (PB) harassed the complainant to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 25, U/S 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A lady resident of Sector 22, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident Shimla (HP) harassed the complainant to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
