One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Murlidhar R/o Plot No. 184, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh and recovered 50 quarters of country liquor from his possession near Plot No. 184, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 22.03.2021. A case FIR No. 36, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Uma Shankar R/o # 1263, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away one LED TV and 2 LPG gas cylinders from his residence on 17.03.2021. A case FIR No. 31, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Pradeep Kumar R/o # 2338, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons on motorcycle snatched away mobile phone from complainant near slip road, Sector 47B, Chandigarh on 22.03.2021. A case FIR No. 35, U/S 379A IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Basant Lal R/o # 345/2, Sector-45A, Chandigarh reported that unknown two persons on motorcycle sped away after snatching chain from complainant’s wife near # 266, Sector 45/A, Chandigarh on 22.03.2021. A case FIR No. 47, U/S 379A, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Quarrel

   A case FIR No. 79, U/S 323, 324, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sandeep R/o # 420, Shahpur Colony, Sector-38 (West) Chandigarh who reported that two unknown person assaulted and stabbed complainant and his friends namely Sahil R/o # 192, Shahpur Colony and Sunny # 191, Shahpur Colony, Chandigarh near Wine Shop, Sector-40D, Chandigarh on 22.03.2021.  They got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

         Sagar R/o # 2781, DMC, Sector-38W, Chandigarh reported unknown person stole away complainant’s M/Cycle No. PB12-AC-3846 from parking of Community Centre, Sector-40, Chandigarh on 20-03-2021. A case FIR No. 80, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

         A lady resident of Distt. Mohali (PB) reported unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB65-AX-3952 from parking of Ekta Market, Sector-41D, Chandigarh on 22-03-2021. A case FIR No. 81, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of DMC, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away some cash & jewelry after breaking almirah of complainant’s residence between 15.03.2021 to 22.03.2021. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
