Action against gambling/satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Nitin R/o # 761/C, Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh while he was playing satta at back side of Shastri Market, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 28.02.2021. Total cash Rs. 3600/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 31, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Burglary

Deepak Kumar R/o # 2776, Sector-25/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 22/23 ladies suits, some bills and some cash from his shop at # 2781, Sector-25, Chandigarh on the night intervening 26/27-02-2021. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 457, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later one person namely Vishal @ Raja R/o # 2582, DBC, Sector-25, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Sandeep Duhan R/o # 1334, Block-B, Adarsh Nagar, Naya Gaon (PB) Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 8 Mobile Phones from Activa Scooter parked near Kachi Parking, Chandigarh Club, Sector 01, Chandigarh on 28-02-2021. A case FIR No. 17, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A lady resident of Sector 38W, Chandigarh reported that unknown person broken the window pane of her car No. CH-01J-2100 and stole away hand bag containing I-card, ATM cards, D/L, R/C, Pan Card and cash Rs. 1500/- from her car while parked at Leisure Valley parking, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 28-02-2021. A case FIR No. 18, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 24, U/S 379B, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Brijesh R/o # 209, Gali No. 2, Dasmesh Enclave, Jhampur, Mohali (PB) who reported that 3 unknown persons occupants of white color Scooty sped away after snatching mobile phone and cash Rs. 1200/- from complainant at Kacha Rasta near Snehalaya, Maloya, Chandigarh on 28.02.2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.
