Three persons arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Dinesh Kumar R/o # 63, Ward No. 3, Kurali Mohali (PB) while consuming liquor from back side of parking, ISBT-43, Chandigarh on 16.01.2021. A case FIR No. 09, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajesh R/o # 2247/1, EWS Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh while consuming liquor near Petrol Pump, Sector 52, Chandigarh on 16.01.2021. A case FIR No. 10, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu Kumar R/o # 2237, DMC, Chandigarh while consuming liquor near Public Toilets Sector-38/West, Chandigarh on 16.01.2021. A case FIR No. 07, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Uday Raj R/o # 168, Block-F, Colony No. 4, Chandigarh and recovered 26 quarters of country liquor from his possession near Govt. School, Colony No. 4, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 16.01.2021. A case FIR No. 08, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 04, U/S 341, 323, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint Mohd. Tafazul R/o # 1082, DMC, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh who alleged that Suresh @ Bhindi R/o # 127/C, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Mukesh R/o # 1311/B, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh Zehreela R/o EWS Colony, Chandigarh, Spati R/o EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh assaulted and threatened complainant and his friends Faizal & Wahid at Fish Market, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 12.01.2021. Complainant & his friend Faizal R/o # 1676/C EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh both got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of BDC, Chandigarh harassed the complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 03, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Naya Gaon, Distt Mohali (PB) harassed the complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 04, U/S 323, 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 08, U/S 279, 337 IPC & 185 MV Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh against driver of Swift car No. HR-03X-2301 namely Rahul Singh R/o Block No. 14, ground floor, Rail Vihar, Panchkula (HR) who hit to Activa Scooter No. CH-01AW-6879 driven by Sapna R/o NIC Mani Majra, Chandigarh near Sports Complex Stadium, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 09.01.2021. Activa Scooter driver got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Rahul Singh arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          A case FIR No. 07, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the statement of Harkesh R/o # 1169, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh against unknown driver of Motor Cycle No. HR04H6883 who hit to complainant’s wife namely Seema (Cyclist) near Petrol Pump, Raipur Kalan, Main Road, Chandigarh on 14.01.2021. Motor Cycle driver left away motor cycle on the spot. She got injured and was admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Darshan R/o # 92/C, Ph-2, Village Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Complainant’s Fiat Palio car No. CH-04C-8810 while parked near his residence on night intervening 26/27-12-2020. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Ashok Kumar Tuli R/o # 495, Sector-4, Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person committed theft at complainant’s factory Preseason Engineers, Plot No. 923/A, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh and stole away 3 Digital Signature, 8 Brass Wire Spool, 1 Electric Wire Roll, 3 Boxes Copper Electro (weight about 25 Kg Each) and 14-15 Pair leather Shoes after breaking locks on the night intervening 13/14-01-2021. A case FIR No. 09, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
