A case FIR No. 207, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Amit Kumar R/o # 117, Block-1, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh (age 30 years) while he was obstructing public way with rehri/fari at footpath in front of Gulati Textiles, Market, Sector 22D, Chandigarh on 25.12.2020. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Attempt to Theft

Patrolling party of Chandigarh Police apprehended Rahul R/o # 540, DMC, Sector 38, Chandigarh (age 26 years) while he was trying to commit theft by breaking the ATM machine of SBI Bank at Booth no 241, Market, Sector 38C/D, Chandigarh on night intervening 24/25.12.2020. A case FIR No. 400, U/S 380, 457, 427, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Sector 33, Chandigarh harassed the complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 95, U/S 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

          Karnail Singh R/o # 174, Sector-23/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person committed theft at his house and stole away gold jewelry by breaking locks between 22-12-2020 to 25-12-2020. A case FIR No. 208, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
