Action against gambling/satta 

Chandigarh Police arrested Sita Ram resident of Chandigarh, while playing satta near Bank of Broda, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 1100/- from his possession on 18.12.2020. A case FIR No. 188, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Rakesh Kumar resident of Chandigarh, while playing satta near community Center, Manimajra, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 8021/- from his possession on 18.12.2020. A case FIR No. 185, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Mohit resident of Chandigarh, while playing satta near Balmiki Mandir, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 4350/- from his possession on 18.12.2020. A case FIR No. 231, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Vivek Sharma R/o # 1720/1, Sector-43, Chandigarh, while consuming liquor at a public place near small chowk, Sector 42/43 Chandigarh on 18-12-2020. A case FIR No. 232, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under Arms act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sunny @ Galiya R/o # 3588, Sector-25, Chandigarh (age 29 years) and recovered 1 desi Katta and 1 live cartridge from his possession at Govt. Toilet, Sector-25, near light point Sector25/38 light point on 18.12.2020. A case FIR No. 146, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against obstruction in public way

A case FIR No. 206, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Mohammad Abib R/o # 68/5, Adarsh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Mohali, while he was obstructing public way with rehri/fari near SCO No.9, Sector 22 on 18.12.2020. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak Kumar R/o # 50, Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh and recovered 30 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near EWS Colony, Maulijagran on 18.12.2020. A case FIR No. 212, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Pankaj Kumar R/o # 1094, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and recovered 58 bottles of Naina XXX rum from his possession near Dispensary, Hallomajra on 18.12.2020. A case FIR No. 232, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 189, U/S 188, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against Ankit Grover resident of Chandigarh, Ankur Babu resident of Chandigarh and Devinder resident of Punjab, who were serving hukka to customers at Reef Club, SCO No. 40, Sector-7, Chandigarh and violated the orders of District Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Prevention of Damage to Public property

          A case FIR No. 145, U/S 279 IPC & 3 Prevention of Damage to public property 1984 has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Gurjit Singh R/o Kharar (PB), against Parminder Singh R/o Village Abhipur SAS nagar, Mohali, driver of tipper No. PB10DZ1158, who tried to hit complainant near Gujrat bhawan, Sector 24, Chandigarh on 18.12.2020. Accused arrested in this case.  Investigation of the case is in progress.
