One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sukhpreet Singh @ Johan R/o # 217/A, Omega city, Kharar, Mohali, (age 29 years) and recovered 22 Gram heroin from her possession near Ziri Mandi chowk, on 17.12.2020. A case FIR No. 174 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against gambling/satta 

Chandigarh Police arrested Kanhiya, Moti Ram and Ramkesh Sharma resident of Chandigarh while playing satta near Dharam Kanta, Grain market, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 1360/- from their possession on 17.12.2020. A case FIR No. 187, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for consuming liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Goli Kumar R/o # 82, Village Attawa, Chandigarh while consuming liquor at a public place near Tubewell, Attawa chowk, Chandigarh on 17-12-2020. A case FIR No. 230, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Jaideep Kumar R/o Phase-1, Mohali, while consuming liquor at a public place near parking area, Sector-61, Chandigarh on 17-12-2020. A case FIR No. 231, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for theft

Sunil Kumar R/o # 1025, Sector-38-B, Chandigarh reported that Aslam R/o # 5, Gali No.2, Guramail Nagar, Ludhiana and 3 others, they all tried to steal away complainant’s Swift car No. HP24D-4050 on 17.12.2020 by breaking the conductor side glass. Aslam was caught red handed on the spot and 3 others ran away. A case FIR No. 394, U/S 379, 411, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
