Action against obstruction in public way

A case FIR No. 205, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Sivender Mandal R/o # 1828/B, Sector 45, Burail, Chandigarh, while he was obstructing public way with rehri/fari at Shastri Market, Sector 22 on 16.12.2020. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Three arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Gaurav R/o # 9/1, Bhatia colony, Village Maulijagran, Chandigarh and recovered 12 bottles of country made liquor from his possession near Railway Light point on 16.12.2020. A case FIR No. 210, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Ritik R/o # 2345, Vikas Nagar, Maulijagran, Chandigarh and recovered 46 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near Railway Light point on 16.12.2020. A case FIR No. 211, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu R/o # 6787, Village-Burail, Chandigarh and recovered 12 bottles of country made liquor from his possession near Shiv Mandir, Village Burail, Chandigarh on 16.12.2020. A case FIR No. 239, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 184, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh against unknown person, who cheated online Rs.54, 500/- on 13.04.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Ajay Mahajan R/o # 726, Sector-22/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Innova car No. CH-01BQ-2339 parked near his house on the night intervening 14/15-12-2020. A case FIR No. 204, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
