One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Surinder Kant R/o # 4945/2, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh and recovered 36 bottles of country made liquor from his possession from Govt. Tube-Well near park, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh on 27.11.2020. A case FIR No. 167, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Jatinder Kumar of Distt. Mohali, while he was consuming liquor at a public place from parking area near Thakur Chat, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh on 27.11.2020. A case FIR No. 371, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A girl resident of Mohali reported that one unknown person occupant of Activa Scooter snatched away complainant’s purse containing 2 mobile phones near Shyam fashion Mall, Sector34, Chandigarh on 27.11.2020. A case FIR No. 228, U/S 379A, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal Breach of trust

A case FIR No. 218, U/S 406 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ravi R/o # 17, Gali No. 4, Shanti Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh who alleged that Rahul resident not known who taken away his motorcycle No. PB11BU3099 for test drive from KTM Service Centre, Phase-2, Ind. Area on 27.11.2020 and did not come back. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV theft

Ishwar Singh R/o # 2081/3, Pipli Wala town, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person who stole away complainant Alto car No. HR20T4711 from parking of Shanti nagar, MM, on 25.11.2020. A case FIR No. 179, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
