Action against gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Shri Kishan, Ravi Shankar, Dharminder and Daya Shankar all resident of Village Dariya, Chandigarh, while playing gambling near PRTC transport, Dariya, Chandigarh on 16.11.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 10630/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 210, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Gorakh Singh resident of Panchkula and Shamsher Singh resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh, while playing gambling near Shivalik park, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 16.11.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 13400/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 171, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sunil and Rohit both resident of Sector 56, Chandigarh, while playing gambling near Sector-56, Chandigarh on 16.11.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 2210/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 356, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal breach of trust

          A case FIR No. 136, U/S 406 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vineet Gupta R/o M/s Sardha Plywood and Laminat, SCO No. 141, Sector-24D, Chandigarh who alleged that  Manoj Goel @ Mohni and a lady both resident of Distt. Kurukshetra, (HR) persuaded/induced complainant to deliver the antique gold jewelry items to them for sale at higher consideration amount than the market value. Later they denied the payment and did not return the jewelry items. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Raj Kumar R/o # 92, Village Kajehri, Chandigarh, reported that 3 unknown boys in Auto (number not known) sped away after snatching mobile phone and purse containing cash Rs. 700-800/- from complainant near Attawa chowk on night intervening 15/16-11-2020. A case FIR No. 215, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Robbery

A case FIR No. 357, U/S 392 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurjinder Singh R/o # 187, Sector-16, Panchkula (HR) who reported that unknown person robbed away mobile phone from complainant on knife point near # 349, Sector 40, Chandigarh on 16.11.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 358, U/S 392 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vinod Kumar R/o # 68, Village Buterla, Sector 41, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person robbed away complainant’s purse containing cash Rs. 1500/- and Aadhar card on knife point near petrol pump, Sector 39, Chandigarh on 16.11.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 161, U/S 394 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Mohali (PB) who reported that unknown person occupant of unknown Auto, who forcibly snatched away complainant’s gold chain, ear ring, finger ring and purse containing mobile phone & cash Rs. 10,000/- near paddy Mandi Chowk near Kacha Rasta on 16.11.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
