          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh against Raju R/o Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh who was arrested while consuming liquor at a public place near Palika Bazaar Sector-19, Chandigarh on 27.09.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Vijay R/o # 529, New Indra Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Balmiki Mandir, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 27.09.2020. Total cash Rs. 1050/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 187, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Three arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Surinder Kumar R/o # 715/8, BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh and recovered 24 quarters of country liquor near Fish Market, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra Chandigarh on 27.09.2020. A case FIR No. 188, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Amerika @ Amrik Singh R/o # 04, Village Makhan Majra, Chandigarh and recovered 12 bottles of country liquor near Tubewell, Peer Majar road, Kabari Market, Village Makhan Majra, Chandigarh on 27.09.2020. A case FIR No. 177, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Sunny @ Nannu R/o # 1/A, EWS Colony, Sunder Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 25 quarters of country liquor near EWS Colony, Sunder Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 27.09.2020. A case FIR No. 178, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Amrinder singh R/o # 3276/2, Sector-40D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s TVS Apache M/Cycle No. CH01BC-6718 parked near his house on the night intervening 20/21-09-2020. A case FIR No. 296, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Anuj Raura R/o # 52, Sector 38A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away right side mirror of his Fortuner car No. CH01BW7775 while parked in the front courtyard of his house on 27.09.2020. A case FIR No. 297, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault /Rioting

A case FIR No. 295, U/S 147, 148, 149, 324 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manoj Kumar R/o # 3525, Sector-37D, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown persons were fighting with each other near Sai Electrical Market, Sector-37D, Chandigarh on 26.09.2020, when complainant tried to pacify them in the meantime one boy hit complainant with sharp edged weapon. Complainant got injured and admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 63, U/S 52A-(1) D Prisons (Punjab Amendment Act 2011)has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amandeep Singh, Deputy Superintendent, Model Jail, Chandigarh against inmates of Model Jail, Chandigarh namely Ravinder Singh @ Kali, Rajan Bhatti @ Rajbir, Pardeep @ Naggad that during search 3 mobile phones have been recovered from them on 27.09.2020.  Investigation of the case is in progress.
