OPERATIONS CELL ARRESTED ONE DURG PEDDLER NAMELY MANISH KUMAR @ RINKU.

                   In a major breakthrough, Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Inspector Ranjeet Singh, In charge Operations Cell and the close guidance of Smt. Rashmi Sharma Yadav, DANIPS, DSP Operations and overall supervision of Sh. Vineet Kumar, IPS, SP/Operations & City, succeeded in arresting one drug peddler namely Manish Kumar @ Rinku  S/o Late Sh. Ranjit Singh R/o # 504 Preet Colony near, Zirakpur Distt, SAS Nagar Mohali (PB.) age 45 years and FIR NO 158 dated 22.09.2020 U/s 15 NDPS Act  stands registered in PS-26, Chandigarh in this regard.

Brief of the case:-

                   On 22.09.2020, SI Jagtar Singh alongwith other officials laid a naka on road back side Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh for routine checking of suspicious vehicles/persons. In the meantime one person came on scooter Make TVS Jupiter bearing registration no. CH01BT-5795 coming from Bapu Dham Colony Sector-26 towards naka, on seeing police party he tried to throw out the plastic bag from the spot which was hanging on his scooter, but SI Jagtar Singh with the help of police officials of Operations Cell by showing their efficiency, caught him on the spot. On checking that bag 3.5 KG Puppy husk contraband was recovered from his possession. He cannot produce any license/permit for the said contraband. In this regard, case FIR NO 158 dated 22.09.2020 U/s 15 NDPS PS 26 Chandigarh has been registered and accused Manish Kumar @ Rinku has been arrested.  The further investigation of the case is in progress.

                    Tomorrow i.e. on 23.09.2020 accused Manish Kumar @ Rinku S/o Late Sh. Ranjit Singh is being produced in the learned Hon’ble court for the further proceeding.
