OPERATIONS CELL ARRESTED ONE DRUG PEDDLER NAMELY SUKHBIR SINGH @ RINKU

                In a major breakthrough, Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Inspector Ranjeet Singh, I/C Operations Cell and the close guidance of Smt. Rashmi Sharma Yadav, DANIPS, DSP Operations and overall supervision of Sh. Vineet Kumar, IPS, SP/Operations & City, succeeded in arresting one drug peddler namely Sukhbir Singh @ Rinku S/o Lt. Sh. Ramnath R/o # 556, Sector-45, Burail, Chandigarh, Age 36 years and FIR No.187 dated 17.09.2020 u/s 21 NDPS, stands registered in PS-34, Chandigarh in this regard case.

Brief of the case:-

                On 17.09.2020, ASI Ramesh Kumar along with other officials laid a naka near Dev Samaj College, Sector-45, Chandigarh for routine checking of suspicious vehicles/persons. In the meantime one pedestrian coming towards naka and on seeing police party he tried to escape from the spot. But the team of Operations Cell by showing their efficiency, apprehended the person who disclose his name as Sukhbir Singh @ Rinku S/o Lt. Sh. Ramnath R/o # 556, Sector-45, Burail, Chandigarh, Age 36 years. On checking, 35 grams Heroin was recovered from his possession.  

During interrogation accused Sukhbir Singh @ Rinku disclosed that he procured the drug contrabands from Delhi.

                Today, i.e. on 18.09.2020, accused Sukhbir Singh @ Rinku have being produced in the Learned Hon’ble Court and was sent to 14 days Judicial Custody. The further investigation of the case is in progress.

                After going through the criminal record of accused Sukhbir Singh @ Rinku, total 17 criminal cases burglary, theft, gambling & NDPS  are found registered against him in the Police Station, Sector-31, 34, 36 & 39, Chandigarh & found that Sukhbir Singh @ Rinku, is BC of Police Station, Sector 34, Chandigarh.
