Four arrested for gambling 

Chandigarh Police arrested Harbans, Harjit Singh and Mukesh all resident of Chandigarh while they were gambling near Dharamkanta, Village Dariya, Chandigarh on 14.09.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 2325/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 174, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-I/A, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Chand Mohammad residendt of Churi Wala Mohalla, MM, Chandigarh while he was playing dara/satta near Atta chakki, Gobindpura,  Manimajra, Chandigarh on 14.09.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 1635/- from his possession. A case FIR No. 148, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Arrest in Theft

 Abhishek Parjapati R/o Shop No. 63. Main market, Burail, Chandigarh, reported that unknown person stole away 230 packets of Haldiram Namkin from complainant’s shop on 14.09.2020. A case FIR No. 185, U/S 380 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later on accused namely Sher Khan @ Sheru R/o # 1686, Village Burail, Chandigarh arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Distt. Gurrugram, Haryana, harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 68, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

One arrested for using abusive language

A case FIR No. 186, U/S 294 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh against Surinder resident of Sector-25, Chandigarh, who was arrested while he  was doing obscene act in public near Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Sector 46, Chandigarh on 14.12.2019. Investigation of case is in progress.
