Operation Cell arrested one accused with fake currency

                In a major breakthrough, Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Inspector Ranjeet Singh, I/C Operations Cell and the close guidance of Smt. Rashmi Sharma Yadav, DANIPS, DSP Operations and overall supervision of Sh. Vineet Kumar, IPS, SP/Operations & City, succeeded in arresting one accused namely ParshantGautam S/o Balwan Kumar Gautam R/o # 1791 DadduMajra colony , Sector 38 West Chandigarh Age 20 yrs , who was having and using fake Indian currency of Rs 100/- (new currency notes) in the market. In this regard, case FIR No 136 dated 11.09.2020 U/S 489-B, 489-C stands registered in PS-MaloyaChandigarh. The details of accused person is as under:-

• ParshantGautam @ kaka  S/o Balwan Kumar Gautam R/o # 1791 DadduMajra colony , Sector 38 West Chandigarh Age 20 yrs.

The facts of the case as:-

        On 11.09.2020, secret information was received that a person roaming in the area of Maloya, who is havingfake Indian currency notes of (Rs 100/- New notes) and is going to use in the market as genuine. After receiving this information, a team of Operations Cell headedby SI Jagtar Singh alongwith other officialswas deputed, to apprehend the same and laid a secret nakanear bus stand,Maloya,Chandigarh. At about 7.30 PM, on the tips of secret informer, police party apprehended one pedestrian who disclosed his name & address ParshantGautam @ Kaka  S/o Balwan Kumar Gautam R/o # 1791DadduMajra colony, Sector 38 West, Chandigarh Age 20 yrsand recovered 06 (Rs 100×6=600) fake new Indian currency notes from his possession.

        During course of investigation &interrogation accused ParshantGautam @ Kaka disclose that he is using these notes in the market specially during night hours. Heprocured these fake notes from one person resident of Muzafarnagar, UP since long in half rate of real Indian currency. Till date he procured Rs 18000/-(100 Rs Notes) of fake currency and paid Rs 9000/- of real Indian currency. During further investigation, on his discloser 16 more (Rs 100×16 =1600) fake new Indian currency notes also got recovered from his house.

                Today, i.e. on 12.09.2020, accused ParshantGautam @ Kaka have been produced in the Learned Hon’ble Court and gethis 03days police remand to arrest thekingpin of this racketfrom whom he procured the fake currency and to know that from whereall these is being controlled in Muzafarnagar, UP. The further investigation of the case is in progress.
