PU Plans to Plant 40,000 saplings this Season

Chandigarh August 1, 2020:

Girls  Hostel no 1 and 2 ,Panjab University Chandigarh organised a plantation drive  to celebrate the month of Sawan . 

The saplings were planted by the DSW(W) Prof Sukhbir Kaur, Chairperson Dept of Geography Prof SimritKahlon, Chairperson IETVE, Dr Kanwalpreet Kaur, Wardens Dr Kamla and Dr Anju Goyal and the staff of the Hostels. Speaking on the occasion the DSW(W)  said that the season of rains in Panjab University was this year being celebrated as a time to make the campus more green. The University planned to plant a total of 40,000 saplings during this season.

She appreciated the efforts being made by the Dept of Horticulture in this regard.
