Breakthrogh in sector 33 firing case
Korel, CHANDIGARH – 4 June:
Keeping in view the recent incidents of firing in Chandigarh, Senior officers have issued special directions and instructions to curb and detect this kind of crime and to deploy special Nakas/patrolling.
Working on the directions of the Senior Officers, on 3.6.2020, ASI Dilbar Singh along with Police Party was patrolling in Sec 34 area for prevention and detection of Crime. At around 8.35 PM, they reached near Hotel Toy 34 and got a tip off from informer about the movement of Kulwinder Singh @ Kala who maybe an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi and can be involved in firing incidence at Arvind Singla’s kothi in Sector 33. The informer gave a tip off that the suspect has parked his vehicle No. CH 01 BC 0068, ciaz black back side Helix Institute parking.
On this tip off, ASI Dilbar Singh along with police party kept the vehicle under watch and at around 09:15 PM as the suspect Kulwinder Singh @ Kala tried to unlock his vehicle they apprehended him. On search of trousers of suspect Kulwinder Singh, 05 live cartridges make 7.62 were recovered from his Right Pocket. On search of vehicle one cloth bag containing two small cardboard box containing 50 live cartridges of 7.62 in first box and 25 live cartridges of 7.62 in second box.
Kulwinder Singh @ Kala S/o Sarwan Singh Resident of H. No 107 B Village Sarangpur Chd age 40 Years could not produce any License or permit for carrying total 80 live cartridges. The case property was recovered. Kulwinder Singh @ Kala also disobeyed the orders of DM Chandigarh by moving out without pass in between 9 PM to 5 AM.
The accused is on 5 days Police remand with PS 34. His interrogation is going on mainly on two angles
1) Whether he has provided any weapon/ammunition to accused in commission of firing incident in sector 33
2) Whether he has provided any other support like doing reccee/providing getaway vehicle/shelter etc to accused persons.
