Fifteen persons arrested under section 188 IPC for not wearing face mask.

Ten different cases U/S 188 IPC have been registered against fifteen persons who were arrested while roaming outside without wearing a face mask and disobeying the orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 188 IPC got registered on 23.05.2020 is :- PS-Sarangpur=03, PS-19=02, PS-Ind. Area=01, PS-Maulijagran =01 case, PS-34 = 01, PS-36=01 & PS-39=01.

One person arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Pahal Singh @ Sagar R/o # 427/1, Village Faidan, Chandigarh and recovered 20 quarters of country winde near near Kali Mata Mandir, Faidan on 23.05.2020 and disobeying the orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 110, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act & 188 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 59, U/S 420, 120-B Act has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh on the complaint of S.M.S. Sandhu R/o # 113, Sector-8-A, Chandigarh against unknown person who fraudulently has been used complainant’s SBI Credit card for purchasing of Rs. 2, 92, 000/- on 26.06.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Deep Kumar R/o # 329/2, Samadhi Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person who stolen away complainant’s Auto rickshaw No. PB65AU-9252 from parking near Samadhi gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 85, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Ramesh Kumar Sethi R/o # 605, Sector-2 Panchkula reported that unknown person complainant’s mobile from Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 20.12.2019. A case FIR No. 106, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
