One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against a person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 12.03.2020. Later he was released on bail.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Bijnour (UP) harassed complainant to bring dowry. A case FIR No. 30, U/S 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

A girl resident of Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01-BZ-5673 parked near PGGC, Sector-11, Chandigarh on 05-03-2020. A case FIR No. 44, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 43, U/S 279, 337, 304-A has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the statement of Ashwani Kumar R/o # 1201, Chaman Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh against driver of unknown car who sped away after hitting to Activa Scooter No. CH01-BF-2803 driven by complainant’s brother namely Subhash R/o Dhanas, Chandigarh near light point, Sector 22/23, Chandigarh on 11.03.2020. He got injured and declared brought dead at GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abducted

A case FIR No. 45, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person resident of Colony No. 4, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh who reported that his son age about 16 years old has been missing from residence since 01.03.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Gulab Singh, Committee Member of Mata Shri Shakumbari Devi Mandir, Sector-43A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away silvers crowns, Chattar & other jewelry items from Mandir premises on the intervening night 11/12-03-2020. A case FIR No. 51, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Protection of Children Act

A case FIR No. 52, U/s 374 IPC & 79 Juvenile Justice Act 2015 has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ramphal Kataria, Labour Inspector, Chandigarh against Shiv Kumar who labored a child age 13 years at his tea stall, Sector 35, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
