One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against a person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public places on 04.03.2020. Later he was released on bail.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Shehjad Ali R/o # 326/D, Shashtri Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near # 32/35, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 04-03-2020. Total cash Rs. 4600/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 44, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Ajay R/o # 2318, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh and recovered 22 Injections of Buprenorphine and Pheniramine Maleate drugs from his possession near Pracheen Shiv Mandir, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 04-03-2020. A case FIR No. 31, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of DMC, Chandigarh and recovered 10 Gram Heroin from his possession near Community Center, DMC, Chandigarh 04.03.2020. A case FIR No. 34, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against obstructing public way

A case FIR No. 41, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-IT park, Chandigarh against Lakhpat R/o # 388, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, who was arrested while he was obstructing public way with rehri/fari near Community Center NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 04.03.2020. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 36, U/S 323, 324, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Baljeet R/o # 1811, Sector-25, Chandigarh who alleged that Raju @ Dagar & Sandeep @ Goli R/o Sector 25, Chandigarh and 3 others attacked complaint with knife, sticks & stones in front of H.No 700, DBC, Sector 25, Chandigarh on 04.03.2020. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh and referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Jai Narayan R/o # 229, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person has committed theft at his house between 26-02-2020 to 03-03-2020. Stolen property detail yet not estimated and provided by complainant. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Cheating

Rupak Kumar R/o Flat No. 16146, Tower No. 11, Mahagun, My Woods, Noida (UP) alleged that Toni Sharma R/o SCO No. 96-97, Office No. 211, Second Floor, Sec-34/A, Chandigarh cheated Rs. 12,00,000/- from complainant.  A case FIR No. 37, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Eve-teasing

A case FIR No. 33, U/S 354D IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Chandigarh who alleged that a person namely Raj Kumar R/o # 2113, Daddu Majra, Chandigarh eve-teased complainant at Daddu Majra, Chandigarh on 04.03.2020. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

Ravinder R/o # 3005/1, Village Burail, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01AZ-7515 from near his residence on 03-03-2020. A case FIR No. 38, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Parveen Kumar R/o # 897, Housing Board Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Pulsar M/Cycle No. PB-26F-2173 while parked near Easy Day Store, Sector-40, Chandigarh on 26-02-2020. A case FIR No. 80, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
