Action against Gambling

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjay R/o # 1639/2, near Kila, Manimajra, Chandigarh, while he was gambling satta on 14.02.2020, near Electricity Office, Motor market, MM, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 5500/- from his possession.  In this regard, a case FIR No. 27, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Three arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajinder Kumar R/o # 1361/C, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh and recovered 11 quarters of English wine near Kabari market, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 14.02.2020. A case FIR No. 18, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Gony R/o #253, Kachi colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, and recovered 15 quarters of country wine, near Nanda farm, Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh on 14.02.2020. A case FIR No. 20, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Raju R/o P-1247, Tin Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh and recovered 96 quarters of country wine, near Gand Nala, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 14.02.2020. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Kidnapped/Missing

          A lady resident of Maulijagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person kidnapped/missing her son aged 4 years from park near her residence 14.02.2020. A case FIR No. 21, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Chaderhas Pandey R/o # 113, Sector-47A, Chandigarh (working in Air Force) reported that unknown person stole away one HP Laptop, one JIO WIFI device, three mobile phones, Cash Rs. 5500/- and one Indane Gas Cylinder from his residence by breaking the locks on 14.02.2020. A case FIR No. 25, U/S 454, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Amit Kumar R/o # 1243/A, Sector-35 B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs.19, 000/- from his residence by breaking the locks of main door on 14.02.2020. A case FIR No. 31, U/S 454, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Sector 8-B, Chandigarh reported that someone has stole away complainant’s Honda city car No. CH03N-9090, from his residence on 14.02.2020. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Mohit R/o # 1418, Village Burail, Chandigarh reported that someone has stole away his motorcycle No. CH04B2405, near Civil Dispensary, Sector-45, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 25, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 22, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of DMC, Chandigarh against Bittu @ Goli (husband) and 2 others beaten to complainant’s near her residence on 13.02.2020 and run away. She got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 19, U/S 323, 341, 365, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Lakhmudin R/o # 672, EWS colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh against Amarjit, Viru and Devender, who beaten/threatened complainant near Mandir, EWS colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 12.02.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
