One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 30.01.2020. Later he was released on bail.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Kulwinder Singh R/o # 13, Amloh Road, Galbaddi Tehsil Khanna, Ludhiana, (PB) and recovered 154 boxes of whisky (12 bottles each) in Bolero car No. PB10GK2367 from his possession near SCO No. 1, Sector-27D, Chandigarh on 30.01.2020. A case FIR No. 20, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Been R/o # 53, Village-Kishangarh, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Sukhna Bridge Kishangarh, Chandigarh on 30.01.2020. Total cash Rs. 930/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 15, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Chandan @ Chand R/o # 2117, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 31 injections (14 Buprenorphine & 17 Pheniramine)  of drugs from his possession near # 2117, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh on 30.01.2020. A case FIR No. 12, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Mauli Complex, Chandigarh and recovered 39 injections (14 Buprenorphine & 25 Pheniramine) of drugs from his possession near # 2085, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh on 30.01.2020. A case FIR No. 13, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for using Fake registration number

Chandigarh Police arrested Raman Kumar R/o Village Narot Mehra, Distt. & Tehsil Pathankot, (PB) age 27 years near Fire Brigade office, Sector-11, Chandigarh while he was using fake Registration number PB06S-0996 on Ambulance on 29-01-2020.A case FIR No. 20, U/S 473 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 11, U/S 381, 419, 420, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Guneet Swani R/o Stylish Saloon, SCO No. 147-148, Sector-9/C, Chandigarh who alleged that Ankush Bawa & Naveen who were handling cash counter at said saloon have cheated/embezzled funds/cash of saloon upto Rs. 25 lakh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Vijaypal Singh R/o # 911, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh two unknown persons stole away purse cash Rs. 8500/-, documents and mobile phone from his residence on the night intervening 28/29.01.2020. A case FIR No. 13, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

Jaswinder Singh R/o # 3055, Sector-46/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB65H4734 parked near his house on the night intervening 29/30-01-2020. A case FIR No. 15, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Sarabjeet Singh R/o # 260, Sector-56, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH01BL9971 from Vegetable Market, Sector-56, Chandigarh on 28.01.2020. A case FIR No. 29, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Meet Singh R/o # 436, Sector-41/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01AL4329 from parking of Ram Leela Ground, Sector-40/A, Chandigarh on 29.01.2020. A case FIR No. 30, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Proclaimed Offender

A case FIR No. 20, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Wazid who was declared Proclaimed Offender on 26.11.2019 and did not appear before the Hon’ble Court in pursuance of issuance of the proclamation.  Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 31, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Anand Kumar R/o # 6568/B, Sector-56, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of unknown white car sped away after hitting to complainant while he was going on cycle near Chowk, Sector 38/38W/39/40 on 27.01.2020. Complainant got injured and admitted to GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
